Think of the cross. Think of it (don’t laugh now!) when you’re about to do the dishes, take out the trash, dust–whatever your chores are. What’s your attitude when you do those things? Do you do it cheerfully or grumpily? You know the saying, “Time flies when you’re having fun”. That’s not the point here, but it is a good side-result. Anyway, back to the cross. You’re wondering, “What does the cross have to do with me doing chores?” A lot, actually. Jesus gave his life–willing–to die for you, so that you could have eternal life. How can we be grumpy about taking trash to the curb or doing the dishes if Jesus wasn’t grumpy about dying? Like I said in previous goals, we need to keep an eye on our attitude. For Jesus, for ourselves, for our family. Give it a shot.
