More Than Robots

We are more, far more, than robots. The beginning of that difference (besides being skin and bone and not metal, but that’s not what I’m talking about) is the fact that we have free will. Free will gives us the ability to either choose to follow God’s instructions, or follow the world into a sinful life. If we had been created as robots, we would automatically do the right thing. But by giving us free will, God has given the option to love Him fully and willingly. Of course, having free will can be difficult. The desires of our flesh leads us in the direction of the world’s influence; however, our desire to follow God is strong enough to resist that and fight back.

Not being robots carries great responsibility. We need to hold close to God’s Word and stay strong against the temptations around us. If we’re willing to put in the effort, God will back us up.
