This past week has been Vacation Bible School at our church. The work God has done through it has been pretty incredible.
It was my parent’s first year to lead it. That alone would be pretty scary! On top of that, they decided not to use a VBS kit. They found some awesome music, a great skit, and set everything up around that. Though I think that decision turned out to be a really good one, it didn’t make their first year of leading VBS any easier.
But wait, there’s more! 😉 It’s been more than a month since my surgery, and it goes without saying that my surgery and recovery made it difficult to get VBS organized. The more I think about it, there are so many ways that VBS could have gone wrong this year.
And yet it could not have gone better. Twenty kids (out of maybe thirty-five) were saved! I know we were all stressed out this week and the weeks leading up to VBS, but there’s such a powerful lesson here. Trust in God! He can and will do amazing things!
Life can get crazy at times, but God can work through the craziness. The times when life seems impossible could be when He works best. Just lean on Him. Rely on Him. Trust in Him. Everything’s in His hands, and He won’t let us down!
