I remember playing a game after Sunday school at my church several years ago. In the game, you would be blindfolded while your partner led you around. You had to trust that your partner wouldn’t let you run into or trip on anything.
Doesn’t life feel like that sometimes? Like we’re just wandering around blindly, with no idea what we’re doing or where we’re going?
Life is crazy. It’s full of stress, heartache, and pain. So it’s not hard to figure out why we feel lost sometimes.
Just because we’re Christians doesn’t mean we don’t feel lost or confused. Being a Christian means that we have somewhere to go when life is too much for us. It means that we have a Guide. A Light to show us the way. A hand to hold.
Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. (Psalm 119:105)
He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for His name’s sake. (Psalm 23:3)
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. (Isaiah 41:10, 13)
On our own, the path is dark. Trust in God! Let Him make your path as bright as day.
