Christian Music

I thought I would create a page with some of my favorite Christian music. To me, the greatest songs aren’t just about fantastic music. It’s about lyrics that have meaning. Pay attention to these lyrics as you listen to them; these have either made me cry, shout for joy, or are just awesome to listen to while having a great message!I hope they do the same for you! The first link is to a lyric video. If I can find a music video I will add that as well. If you have any suggestions, please let me know! (Music is generally listed from the newest to the oldest release date)

  1. Oh, my word- still freaking out. I was looking at the NaPoWriMo post in my feed, say your post, saw your username- christrocks- and though: Could this be another Christian? Might check it out. Well, I now know that you are, and you have practically the same mindset as me! I’m a Christian (nearly) teen in the Midwest, and I am SO FREAKING OUT!!!
I feel like God’s calling me to be a missionary, and talking to me more, and with what many would call a random coincidence, I stumble across your blog. I’ve always wanted to redefine the teenage definition, and you have a tagline that is just that!!!
BTW, random comment: I’m doing a story on two of my writing blogs about a Christian pre-teen that is forced to go to a boarding school in Hong Kong. Yeah- random!

Anyway, thank you for doing what you do!

  2. What a wonderfully clever idea. I think I shall have to expand my site and work on my own additional page of music and videos! So creative! I love the songs you have chosen as well….Newsboys new album, Restart, is awesome. If you haven’t checked it out already, you should 🙂 Another one to check out is Love & the Outcome. Blessings.

    • Thank you! I have probably heard some of the songs on those albums; the Newsboys are amazing! I saw them in concert last year and it was great. 🙂 I really like being able to share the songs I enjoy, but it’s hard to find the time to add new ones. Often, when readers suggest a song, I’ve already heard it and love it, but just haven’t found time to add it to the list! God bless 🙂

  3. Hi! Just stumbled across your blog and I thought I’d at my 2 cents to your “Christian music” page. Not sure if you’ve heard of them but Desperation Band has incredible worship music (my favorites are Strong God & Take Me to the River), Kari Jobe is also amazing (Steady My Heart, Love Came Down), Luminate (Banner of Love) and Sidewalk Prophets (You can Have Me). I don’t know if you’ve heard any of these songs…I’m a music freak, so I’m always looking for new and good music. (: Have a super blessed day and follow my blog!

    • Thanks, I appreciate the input! Kari Jobe and Sidewalk Prophets are amazing; I’ve heard of Luminate but haven’t listened to any of their music, and Desperation Band is new to me; I’ll check it out! There are a lot of songs that I love to listen to but simply haven’t gotten around to adding to this page. 🙂 And I’ll take a look at your blog.
      God bless you!

    • I know exactly what you mean! I heard about them through a friend a few months ago. The first song of theirs I listened to was People Change, and since then I haven’t been able to stop listening! 🙂
