Wishes in the Wind

I think, at some time or another, we’ve all blown the seeds off a dandelion and made a wish. It’s fun, feels a little mystical, but what are we really doing? Just blowing the seeds off a common flower and watching them float away on the wind. Our wishes float away as well, unheard and unanswered.

So, if this is the case, why do we make wishes? I think it’s because we all face, at times in our life, situations that are out of our control. Thus we search for something supernatural, something that can do what we can’t do ourselves. But we aren’t going to find this in dandelion seeds! But there is someone who is always listening and, if you just take the time to ask, can do what we can’t do on our own.
